5 GUM Vision Lab – MAKING SENSES : challenge your senses – visionaries wanted

In June 2009, Wrigley will be introducing a new ‘lifestyle’ chewing gum to Germany : 5 GUM. 5 GUM’s special sensation isn’t simply oral, it appeals to all the senses. The unusual product and innovative packaging sees 5 GUM set new standards. An entirely new type of event will be held at Berlin’s WEEKEND club on 24 and 25 June, the motto is “Making Senses – challenge your senses”.

Exciting and visionary project initiators can apply at www.5gum-visionlab.de until 31 May 2009. Ten of them will the be picked to introduce their ideas to a panel made up of six international lifestyle experts. The best project will be awarded 10,000 Euro.

At the 5 GUM Vision Lab, the five experts each represent a different sense, which they stimulate and challenge in their own different ways. They are:

LOOK: Mark Eley, designer at Eley Kishimoto
SMELL: Sissel Tolaas, scent researcher & perfumer
HEAR: Ewan Pearson, DJ and producer
TASTE: Telse Bus, chef & artist at the Foodists
TOUCH: Front, product designer
SPECIAL GUEST: Scott Schuman, photographer, the SaRtorialist
Curator: Holm Friebe, lecturer, journalist and author
