ADC Festival: honours renowned designer Paul Smith as a special guest at the ADC Summit 2010, ADC Junior Days & exhibition and awards ceremony on 15 May

From 12 until 16 May 2010, Frankfurt will be transformed into a creative mecca, where the Art Directors Club für Deutschland e.V. will host the ADC Summit 2010. The festival is the largest industry convention of its kind in German speaking countries. The Clash of Creative Cultures: the ADC Summit 2010 presents star designer Paul Smith and architect and city planner Albert Speer. They will be joined on the congress programme by a further 50 top creative speakers.

The prelude will be provided by the 46th ADC Wettbewerb, which will be presented on 12 and 13 May 2010, at Frankfurt Messe. The 350 members of the ADC jury once again judged thousands of competition entries from all sectors of the creative communication industry. It was the first time that entries to the ADC newcomers competition were judged at the same time as the entries to the ‘large’ jury.

The ADC exhibition is set up specially for the judging and will be open to the public on 14 May 2010. Messehalle 5 in Frankfurt will be turned into a vast communication landscape for three days: 11,000m2 of creativity, ideas and inspiration.

GoSee readers are bound to see the results of the photography jury as a highlight. This year, judges include Tobias Eichinger of Heye & Partner, David Fischer of Scholz&Friends Berlin, Dirk Haeusermann of Draftfcb Deutschland, Alex Rank of GoSee member F.A.Cesar, Thimoteus Wagner of Jung von Matt/Alster GoSee member Esther Haase.

On 15 May 2010, the winners of the ADC competition will be announced, honoured and warded with a bronze, silver or golden nail. The creative elite catches up at the gala every year and collectively celebrates the awards winners.

And an additional highlight from the ADC Summit 2010: the ADC Junior Days are also presenting themselves within the large festival platform for the very first time. All entries to the ADC newcomer competition will be presented at the ADC Exhibition, participants can look forward to a wide-ranging events programme, such as the Future Congress and the 72 Project. This year’s ‘Junior of the Year’, ‘Talent of the Year’ and ‘Student of the Year’ title holders will be announced and celebrated on 14 May, at Kunstverein Montez, after the official UPdate programme.
