London Art Fair 2011 with over 100 galleries and Maggie's Art of Hope charity auction

Art fairs offer the ideal solution to people that are interested in the arts, but don’t like the thought of pursuing gallery visits, as these can often be spread far apart. The London art fair, which opens its doors on the 19th of January, is an ideal example of how to avoid that extra legwork.

Over 100 galleries discuss and present the biggest names in the twentieth century British art tradition, as well as exceptional works by contemporary leading figures and emerging talents. Roll up!

In addition to the gallery sections, there are also solo and group exhibitions of international artists in the art project section, as well as the Photo50 edition with 50 contemporary photographs, selected especially by a committee.

We would like to draw some attention to the fair’s charity partner this year: Maggie’s Art of Hope is an exhibition of exhibits, which was donated by major artists and was auctioned off on the opening night.

Maggie's support cancer patients, as well as their family and friends.
