NEW : Freundeskreis der Photographie, Hamburg

The Freundeskreis der Photographie e.V. (the Photography Circle of Friends Group) is a new addition to GoSee. They organise tours, symposia, workshop talks and events to accompany exhibitions, as for example recently with "Gute Aussichten. junge deutsche Fotografie 2008/2009", (Good Prospects. Young German Photography 2009/2009), which is on at the Deichtorhallen, Hamburg until 1. March 2009.

There is also a bi-annual portfolio viewing which enables young photographers to have their work viewed by working professionals from magazines and agencies. The Freundeskreis also provide advise on the composition of photo collections and are involved in the securing of photographic portfolios.

The union was founded in 1994 by fashion photographer F. C. Gundlach. Members not only support the work of the Haus der Photographie, but also receive a year’s worth of free admission to the Haus der Photographie, personal invitations to exhibition openings and the event offers.
