Augustin Teboul - the German/French newcomer label's premiere at Berlin Fashion Week

Their fashion is described as post-romantic, gloomy and somewhat subversive and avant-garde. Augustin Teboul unites darkness and femininity. They refuse to use standard definitions such as Haute Couture or Prêt-à-Porter – and they don't have to. Their exclusivity simply works.

On 19 January, the designer duo presented their first collection at Berlin Fashion Week: ‘Little Red Head’.

As we have already stated, Annelie Augustin and Odély Teboul exclusively work with black. Inspired by surrealism, they leave room for randomness to sneak into their creative process, but insist on flawless workmanship and high quality materials and make the infinite degrees and depths of colour visible through their unique approach to textile design.

‘Little Red Head’ pays homage to the tale of Little Red Riding Hood, albeit an enraptured and not very fluffy version. It is about tight clothes, skirts and trousers, knitwear, crochet wear and legs dressed in stockings. Augustin Teboul transforms the naïve girl from the seduced to the seductress.

The two designers graduated from Esmod in Paris and joined forces in summer 2009. The German-French duo’s 'Cadavre-Exquis' project was presented with a grand total of three awards and saw them launch their own label.

The debut presentation took place as a show installation at Soho House, Berlin.

After Berlin Fashion Week, the collection will also be exhibited at New York’s The Train fashion fair in February and at the Analuiza Showroom, Paris in March. GoSee: not to be missed!
