Berlin Fashion Week : Absolution PR presents designers Marcel Ostertag, Sava Nald, ep_anoui plus Fashion Week Photodiary by Marc Schuhmann.

This week sees the opening of Berlin Fashion Week and hardcore fashionistas, buyers, designers, stylists and fashion editors won't be put off by the sudden arrival of winter in the German capital, that's for sure. Absolution PR once again sends designers and newcomers into the fray.

Marcel Ostertag's show is anticipated with great excitement. He was born in 1979 in Berchtesdaden and kick-started his meteoric career at the ESMOD in Munich and Berlin. He graduated from Central St. Martin's College in London, where he lived for five years and finished both his Bachelor and Master degree with great success.

He collaborated with Burberry's Chirstopher Bailey, as well as Paul Smith, Dunhill and Kim Jones. Furthermore, he showed his collections at London Fashion Week at the V&A Museum, the Lancôme Colour Award and Peking Fashion Week. Marcel Ostertag won several national and international competitions and is now a fixture at Berlin Fashion Week.

His catwalk shows are always bursting at the seams, visited by many celebrities and enjoy an immensely positive reception from the press. Hence, Ostertag's collections are featured in all important media, both print and online, not to forget TV.

[ep_anoui] by Eva Poleschinski, founded in Vienna in 2008 is a label that pays attention to detail and individuality. The mastermind behind the brand is Eva Poleschinksi, whose designs combined the claim to be both exclusive and full of youthful freshness, emphasising the wearer's personality.

Eva Poleschinksi studied at the prestegious Central Saint Martin's College in London as well as at the ESMOD in Munich and celebrated her debut at Berlin Fashion Week in July 2011, applauded by the press.

Sava Nald is modern and yet very feminine. Inna Thomas knows how to merge elegance with extravaganza. Inna Thomas only uses the highest possible materials for the collections, such as fur, silk and Merino wool.

Photographer Marc Schuhmann's 'The Berlin Fashion Week Photodiary' provides a wonderful introduction to BFW. Since 2009, he and art director Joern Toellner have been documenting Berlin Fashion Week in a rather unusual way: instead of sterile imagery taken at shows, they document scenes from the backstage areas and ateliers. The third edition will be published by SELTMANN & SÖHNE.

“There is an abundance of perfect pictures from fashion shows. I am more interested in the undocumented, special moments. The glance into the eyes of a model just before she hits the runway, the chaos behind the scenes, an unusual perspective from the first row.”, explains Marc.

Hence, he confronts us with models without make-up, the mayor of Berlin as he jokes around with Marc Jacobs, wonderful women on the runway, but also the litter that has been left behind in the foyer or consumer-critical graffiti that can be found on the way to the show: 28 designers feature in the book. Including Iris van Herpen, Perret Schaad, Marcel Ostertag, Patrick Mohr and Vladimir Karaleev.
