Clemens en August : the label with the unusual tour concept hits the road again

Young label Clemens en August's current summer collection will be presented throughout the course of a worldwide tour covering 11 cities, never stopping for longer than a few days, popping up in galleries or other cultural hotspots. The idea behind it being: Eliminating expensive distributional structures or even a chain of stores in order to ensure that investments contribute towards high-class design, high-quality materials and top-notch processing.

This year's womens line has been inspired by the ancient worlds of Greece and Rome, tops and mini skirts exhibit the cutting patterns of the tunic, laces and duffels ensure that trousers can be pulled tight and shortened. The colour palette ranges from raspberry satin, washed-out tiger prints to black leather jackets.

The men's range sees an allusion to the 'hunt', expressed in embroidery on t-shirts, jackets and coats. The wide shorts are both athletic and sexy, and teamed with loose fitting Mao shirts complete with button-up collars. The suits however retain a slender cut, the material varying between Japanese cotton and Jersey piquet.

Conveniently, the tour's Berlin date falls exactly on the Update 09 Weekend – the perfect Saturday day for post productive shopping. We definitely announced our arrival herewith !
