Designer Matthew Williamson : now also for men !

Matthew Williamson recently experimented with menswear in his collaboration for H&M. Since the collection was such a success, he has opted to create his first own menswear line.

As with the designs for the Swedish fashion brand, Matthew has stayed true to his style. The fine collection presents organic prints, paisley patterns, neon yellow, fuchsia and bright green. The pieces are currently limited to cashmere long-sleeved tops, cardigans and scarves. The designer has already promised an extension for next season.

Matthew Williamson was born in 1970s Manchester, a graduate from the infamous Central Saint Martins College, he is now a renowned figure in the international fashion industry.

Following jobs at Monsoon and Accessorize, he was held the position of Creative Director at Emilio Pucci from 2005-2008 and founded his own company in 2007: The Matthew Williamson Fashion Company.

The designer made his first steps on the fashion scene thanks to a British Vogue initiative. He met up with fashion assistant Plum Sykes and managed to win over enough attention for his breakthrough with a small debut collection.

Watch out ! Matthew Williamson Stores are in London, New York, Dubai and Kuwait.
