International Center of Photography : Edward Steichen - In High Fashion, The Condé Nast Years, 1923–1937

The International Center of Photography is presenting vintage Edward Steichen fashion photographs until 3. May. With 175 photos from the Condé Nast Archive, this is probably the most substantial retrospective of Edward Steichen’s achievement in this field.

In cooperation with the Musée de l'Elysée, Lausanne, and the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography, Minneapolis, and following its extensive European Tour (Paris, Zurich, Madrid, Reggio Emilia), the exhibition was launched in January at the New Yorker ICP.

The show is accompanied by a wonderful book comprising 288 pages, edited by William A. Ewing and Todd Brandow (Minneapolis: FEP Editions, 2008). Additional contributors include William A. Ewing, Carol Squiers, Nathalie Herschdorfer, Todd Brandow and Kunsthaus Zurich Curator Tobia Bezzola.
