Laurèl Kampagne : Markus JANS shoots Franziska Knuppe in Paris for A/W 2009 collection

Laurèl chose Paris – the City of Love as the backdrop for their A/W 2009 collection shoot. Franziska Knuppe, one of Germany’s top models is both the face of the campaign, and also its modern and cosmopolitan brand ambassador.

Tough looks, clear silhouettes and innovative material combinations, with an attention to detail, whilst remaining feminine. Discreet minimalism, casual luxury - Laurèl „très Parisien“.

The team surrounding Art Director Thomas Elsner and photographer Markus JANS c/o KLAUS STIEGEMEYER discovered beautiful hidden corners in the metropolis. A Parisian town palace was also used as an indoor location. The season’s key looks were presented as sophisticated, modern and as a charming understatement:

Sequin dresses teamed with skinny leather leggings, Marlene trousers with a power print shirt, and a tiny goat skin waistcoat. A draped feminine dress worn with an elaborately embroidered waistcoat.

Founded as a diffusion brand by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley in 1978, Laurèl is now headed by CEOs Andreas Gotschke and Michael Krauledat, with over 138 stores in 53 countries. Head designer Elisabeth Schwaiger is in charge of the label’s characteristic look.
