1st Unit : DOP Ralf NOACK works on the 'Elements' fashion film for the MAJACO fashion label, Berlin

The new MAJACO image video is all about the four elements and was directed by Navid Abri with support by DOP Ralf NOACK c/o 1st Unit. The production took place in and around Berlin and featured actress Olivia Csiky Trnka.

“The four elements are a good way of visualising the different variations of Majaco customers – fragility, beauty, independence and power”, explains the designer Anna Franke. “Majaca creates a new vision of the female that consists of the elegance of a young Jane Birkin with the sophisticated charm of Natalie Portman. It is a very confident female idealism – no need for fierce rebellion, but rather an effortless form of natural beauty and sex appeal.”

The fashion label is masterminded by the two Berlin designers Anna Franke and Janine Weber, who run their own designer shop with a showroom in central Berlin, at Zionskirchenplatz. The very feminine womenswear collections are ethically produced exclusively in Germany, under fair working conditions. Apart from the core range, Majaco also offers a Basic Collection each season, made up of versatile and combinable jerseys.

Ralf Noack has been working as a cameraman since 2002 and produced music videos for Jennifer Rostock, Polarkreis 18 or Joy Denalane (amongst others), as well as several commercials for Greenpeace, Nike, Deutsche See or Herlitz. He was also the nominee and award-winner of many international advertising festivals. His 'Vatermutterkind' feature film won several awards; 'Kasimir & Karoline' was awarded the 'exceptional literature screen adaptation' at the Fernsehfilmfestival Baden Baden.
