Cobblestone : a special captain's dinner and Cannes Silver for the SANTEC Spot

Cobblestone took to the high seas for a delicatessen buffet and champagne. A luxuriously sporty yacht, cast off and bottoms up. A très French skipper stylishly steered us between the Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat islands that lie in front of Cannes. The anchor was cast in the tempting Caribbean-blue water, and Captain Pieter and his crew conjured up countless delicacies after a quick dip in the crystal clear, calm sea.

By the way, one of the islands still houses a Cistercian monastery today. In between pine trees, the 30 monks tend to an exquisite vineyard. However, we didn’t have any time for wine tasting on the island, we already had our next happening lined up for that afternoon.

Since 1992, Captain Pieter Lony and his Cobblestoners have been producing commercial spots to the highest of standards. In addition to the 12 member crew, freelancers are often hauled in, enabling the production of around 30 spots each year. Cobblestone have ranked amongst Germany’s most creative leading film production companies for years.

The internal post production, run by Tanja Bruhn, was recently updated with the latest technology. In addition to the two Avids, they also work with Final Cut and After Effects. Sven Schönmann was recently won over as the new professional operator. Besides animatics, mood films and makings of, they also edit larger projects and get them online.

Since April Cobblestone have a new base in Berlin, in the holy former Karl- Marx book shop halls. The historical book shop was famous in the East and West for its literature by Marx and Mao, as well as Brecht and Mann. The Berlin office management is headed by Juri Wiesner (Production) and Nadia Saoudi (Direction Advisor/Marketing/Sales) in cooperation with Pieter Lony (CEO, Cobblestone Hamburg).

GoSee presents several recent productions, for example one for BRAUN, which was produced in collaboration with BBDO. The atmospheric scenes were filmed in Hamburg under David Lodge’s direction.

Furthermore, we present the SANTEC spot for Sanyo surveillance cameras, which was awarded Silver this year, as well as the EDEKA cheese counter spot which was crowned TV Spot of the Year at the Client Award 2009, and also received an ADC distinction.
