DBC - Driven by Creatives : Beetle 21 Century - the Triple Event to launch the 21 Century Beetle in Shanghai, Berlin and New York - and the Beetle spot on GoSee

21st Century Beetle – the spot by director Hinrich PFLUG and DOP Lutz HATTENHAUER on GoSee.

On the 18th of April, VOLKSWAGEN and MTV World Stage presented the new 21st Century Beetle at three live events on three continents. Asia, Europe and America, all on the same day. First, the Beetle was of course presented at the Motor Show in Shanghai.

Then Belgian DJ team 2 Many DJs alias the two brothers Stephen and David Dewaele hosted an electro rave at Berlin’s E-Werk. The duo was first famed as the founders of Soulwax, a Belgian rock band. They launched their second career as MTV presenters, only to then move onto their third career, known as electro act 2 Many DJs.

The E-Werk is a favourite events location for the outgoing Berliner. On the one hand, it is one of the oldest conserved commercial electricity buildings in Germany and is also one of the historic power plants of techno which set out to conquer the world from this location. The Black Eyed Peas provided the finale to the World Stage concert in New York, performing hits from their latest album ‘The Beginning’ and other popular songs at Terminal 5.
