Esther Haase : lights up MANHATTAN. The new iconic brand's new 'Express Yourself' spot on GoSee

After three years of absence, the Coty cosmetics brand is celebrating its comeback into the world of German TV advertising. The 20-second clip, created and produced by leading agency Werbewelt, launched on the 16th of January.

Photographer Esther Haase was in charge of the spot's direction. She has been realising colourful shoots for the brand since 2010, which has been part of the Coty company since July last year.

In addition to the advertising clip, which is being broadcasted on channels such as Pro Sieben, Sat.1, RTL and VOX by Zenithmedia in Düsseldorf, the 'Express Yourself' campaign also includes adverts in women's and fashion magazines, as well as PoS and online. The spot also alludes to the Manhattan website (Manhattan.de as well as Facebook) towards the end.

'Get the fab fashionista look' – colour popping shades of eyeliner are advertised. You can also find a perfect manual for the do-it-yourself-look right on the Manhattan Cosmetics website. The Facebook page on the other hand provides a Manhattan-inspired competition: with lots of luck, you can win a pair of designer shoes by Christian Louboutin.

The Coty company was founded by native Corsican Francois Coty at the age of 29 in Paris, 1904. Today, the NY-based company operates offices in over 30 countries, is present in more than 90 markets – and is famous for topping introduction markets with lightning speed and huge global success.
