Fighting for the last trousers - action-packed image film by artist duo Fridolin&Boy for the ANNE SCHMUHL 2011/12 trouser collection

"How to make a clip in less than 8hrs .... wake up at 04.30am, drive into the woods, film two crazy performers in twilight, drive home, import while having breakfast. edit. export. upload. Done..." explains director and camera man Felipe Ascacibar, who teamed up with the artist team Fridolin & Boy to create an eccentric trousers campaign for ANNE SCHMUHL 2011/2012.

Fridolin& Boy, who were responsible for concept and direction, were also the acting parties in front of the camera: “We always pop up in our films and photography projects, it's all about – to put it bluntly – the aesthetic of the male body and its expression through power, archaism and rawness as well as the artistic discussion of the German past, which has nothing to do with the Nazi times.” More information is available via www.fridolinundboy.de.

The Anne Schmuhl label (www.anneschmuhl.de) was founded in 2009 and is a fixture in Berlin, specialising in design and production of men's trousers: Sophisticated streetwear, versatile, comfy, wearable and durable.

“We put a strong focus on individual cutting techniques as well as high quality materials and processing. We combine music and visual design in our creations and leave room for the clients' individual requirements”, says the designer, whose clients include the likes of Bonaparte, Mia, Fettes Brot and Modeselektor.

Apart from cameraman Felipe Ascacibar, who also took care of the editing, photographer Matthias Wehofsky was on location to document the action with his camera. We are excited to present the results here on GoSee.
