GoSee Cinema Tip : Die kommenden Tage - future scenario by director Lars Kraume celebrates its premiere in Berlin
‘Die kommenden Tage’ (the coming days) celebrates its premiere on Wednesday, the 27th of October 2010. The gloomy future scenario by director Lars Kraume is set in Berlin, 2020 and attempts to depict tomorrow’s world. Due to terror and civil war, Europe shuts itself off from the rest of the world behind a wall. The cast includes actors Bernadette Heerwagen, Daniel Brühl, Johanna Wokalek, August Diehl, Susanne Lothar and Ernst Stötzner.
‘Die kommenden Tage’ will hit German cinemas from Thursday, the 4th of November 2010. GoSee presents the trailer and some snaps from the premiere.
‘Die kommenden Tage’ is a cinema production by Badlands Film in collaboration with UFA Cinema and in co-production with Dream Team Filmproduction, WDR, ARD Degeto and Arte. The main setting is a futurist Berlin in 2012-2020, featuring well-known locations such as the national library and Alexanderplatz. Some scenes were shot in Frankfurt am Main.
The director alludes to plans, which envision skyscrapers all around Alexanderplatz. He does not use any traditional computer effects. Instead, actual Frankfurt buildings are added in post-production using the ‘composite’ procedure, making the Berlin of the future appear all the more realistic.
FYI, WIR SIND HELDEN recorded the film’s theme - ‘Bring mich nach Hause’. With their fourth LP, the band made a comeback after three years of silence and immediately entered the German music charts at number one. The band were instantly fascinated by the film’s unusual, dark visuals . . .
