NGDSC - the New German Directors Showcase by Saatchi & Saatchi and the big, new hello in Berlin and the medial echo on GoSee
A novelty in the Berlin scene: Uncle Berlin presented the Saatchi & Saatchi New German Director's Showcase at HBC on the 11th of October 2011. More than 120 guests showed up and celebrated after the showcase until way past midnight.
After a charming introduction by Henric Larsson (CEO Chimney Pot, Partner Uncle Berlin), Michael M. Maschke, Head of Creative Services at Saatchi & Saatchi, led through the evening and introduced a total of 12 director talents from Germany. Four of which - Stephan Hilpert, Felipe Ascacibar, Thomas Garber and Christoph Hochhäusler – were at the ceremony in person and were happy to talk about their work and future plans over a drink at the bar later on.
The Berlin advertising scenes was almost compeltely represented by the illustrious list of guests: Partizan, Stink, Markenfilm, Tempomedia, Who's McQueen, Soup, Filmdeluxe, Radical Media, Jo!schmid, Embassy of Dreams, Bubbles, Big Fish, NSF and Doity as well as directors, camera men, CDs and CCOs of well-known Berlin agencies (such as Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO, JWT, M.E.C.H, JvM, Scholz & Friends, Y&R, VCCP). Some guests have even made the long way up (or down) from Munich and Hamburg.
Jana Süßkoch, Uncle Berlin: “We were honoured to present the NGDSC by Saatchi & Saatchi. A great platform for creative communication. The feedback was incredibly positive and a big thanks to all for the wonderful evening. To be continued for sure!”
MMM aka Michael M. Maschke, Head of Creative Services at Saatchi & Saatchi: “The whole idea behind the New German Directors' Showcase is to introduce new talents to the industry. Now, we were able to fulfil this aim with the fantastic support of Uncle in Berlin. The response has exceeded my expectations many times. Better still, we are about to extend our showcase by more (digital) disciplines. So, you can look forward to more – watch this space. And yes, you will read about it on GoSee.”
