On Monday, the 16th of January, the 33rd Max Ophüls Festival kicked off with a film screening – what else – in the idyllic region of Saarbrücken. The featured film was 'Die Summe meiner einzelnen Teile' by director Hans Weingartner, winner of the 2001 Max Ophüls Award for 'Das weisse Rauschen'.
