VDW AWARD 2009 BOARD OF IDEAS : and the judges who picked the winners

Since 2002, the Union of German Advertising Film and Post Production Companies = Verband Deutscher Werbefilm- und Postproduktionen (VDW) has been presenting the most artistically valuable advertising film productions with the VDW AWARDs. 589 entries battled for this year’s eighth VDW AWARD and its 18 categories.

The BOARD OF IDEAS was both on the look out for productions whose creative performance and organisational production achievement deserved merit and honour. Advertising agencies, post production companies, advertising film production companies, cameramen, music production companies, sound designers, sound studios, cutters, stylists and crew members, as well as freelance creatives in the advertising film industry were all free to take part.

Over 120 judges watched their films and graded them according to quality, esprit and know-how. Direct clients, advertisers, cutters, producers,… The VDW Award differs from others as it does not grade the work in its entirety, but breaks the criteria up into industry relevant sections such as editing, direction or script.

And since it is always a challenge to remember which face matches which business card at a business get together, GoSee is pleased to present a memory enhancing video starring all 120 members of the panel. The film was animated by Visual Catering, an Acht Frankfurt subsidiary company.
