IdN Magazine : The Colour Issue

Colour Sutra – the world is colourful. At the same time however, colour is the most subjective, as well as the most generally valid or universal design element one could think of.

For most of us, there is not any reasonable justification as to what is our favourite colour, and it might even change from season to season, regardless of whatever fashionistas and designers might try and talk us into.

Yet, this is the enigmatic issue – to a designer, choosing the wrong colour might very well be what tips the scales. Success or failure – often enough, the tone affects destinies.

IdN spoke to 10 creative professionals about this topic. About their valuation and approach towards the touchy issue. It comes as no surprise – their opinions, as published in the magazine, are as colourful and diverse as the exemplary printed artwork.

Furthermore, the magazine features James Joyce, MWM Graphics, Nepomuk, Tomi and Cherry, Neasden Control Centre, HouseOfBurvo, Kustaa Saksi, Dan McPharlin, Tomer Hanuka and Nocturn.
