Claudia Bitzer : on the road with the new AUDI RS5 , AOP award for SIEMENS campaign, NISSAN, BRANDT BRAUER FRICK and 3rd Floor Company

We can finally present the images of the AUDI RS5 by Christian SCHMIDT. For the first time, the German car make decided to present its prestigious sports car with a CGI production rather than with the original model. The images do not disappoint and are bursting with dynamics, athletics and aesthetics.

Christian set about the task as follows: he shot material in Spain and the Canary Islands, and carried out computer work from his Stuttgart base. He was joined on the project by the Hamburg-based Phillip und Keuntje agency, Sonda Productions in Spain, Move´n Shoot with their CGI-Rig as well as RECOM for the entire CGI and post work.

And another award for Christian SCHMIDT: his tent image was once again honoured at this year’s AOP Awards in London. The image was commissioned for a SIEMENS campaign by Ogilvy & Mather Frankfurt. It has received several awards including the Communication Arts Award in the USA. Now Christian has also managed to secure the AOP-Award – the world’s most significant photo prize. Over 4,000 images by 350 photographers are entered on an annual basis and judged by a prestigious jury.

This summer Steffen SCHRÄGLE broke out in a sweat – and not because of the heat either – but because of the tight schedule he had to adhere to. He travelled to Hamburg, Frankfurt and Berlin to shoot the backgrounds for the NISSAN Juke and Micra. He then returned to the Black Forest where he completed the full CGI production.

Speaking of CGI: Steffen and his 3rd Floor Company have become completely independent of third parties in terms of CGI. He has grouped together a highly skilled local team, covering the entire CGI spectrum: from data evaluation to data preparation and modelling to on-location previews, HDR shoots, rendering and CGI. Harry WEBER completed a new project at his studio in Hamburg. The images can’t currently be presented in their complete layout, but the people images have been published for your viewing pleasure.

In addition to this, Harry shot the official BRANDT BRAUER FRICK band photos. The trio have created a music style that sounds paradox: acoustic techno. Their cunning use of instruments such as the piano, vibraphone, marimba, violin and tuba, has bridged the gap between a club and a concert hall.
