Darius Ramazani : POLNISCHE OSTERN film poster with Henry Hübchen, school kids in South Africa, new website, IF Award and CCA Venus 2010 Award for Caritas Austria

The new website by Berlin-based photographer Darius Ramazani – www.ramazani.com - was realised by Interactive designer Uli Schöberl and conceived with a clear design, usability and functionality for both new and existing clients.

The design of the furniture and equipment comes from the mind of graphic designer Tamara Sarischwili.

The integrated blog highlights current projects. Not the youngest horse in the stable but still a star, Henry Hübchen. Darius photographed the actor from Berlin for the POLNISCHE OSTERN film poster. Hübchen plays a German baker who travels to Poland on a secret mission in the tragic comedy by Jakob Ziemnicki. In his luggage: lots of prejudice. The portrait shoot shows the actor in his role as conservative baker Grabosch.

The ‘Schoolkids’ portrait shoot is another brand new feature on the website. Darius, who spends a lot of his time in South Africa due to his profession, photographed countless children in local schools, dressed in their regional uniforms. The photo series shows expressive faces of young South Africans with unique facial expressions and gestures.

Darius Ramazani has recently been awarded several awards for his works: for example the IF Award and CCA Venus 2010 Award for Caritas Austria, who chose some of the motifs from his photo series ‘Old People Cape Town’ for their ‘age in dignity' campaign.

Furthermore, the photographs have been nominated in the portrait category of the International Color Awards 2010.
