office 36 : the BROADWAY campaign, Male Athletes for the Michael Stich Trust, LAMORGHINI spot and stills for the COSMOPOLITAN
"Male Athletes" – three Hamburg lads and a good idea: commercial spot producer Markus Janowski has long toyed with the idea of photographing “real” athletes. Photographer and director Bernd POSSARDT was immediately impressed by the idea, and both managed to find the suitable “models” without further ado. Bernd then thought up the motifs to go with each of their types of sport.
The results present the model athletes against a Hamburg backdrop and go to show that the city has a lot to offer. The exhibition will be held in various German cities so as to reach as wide an audience as possible, in cooperation with health organisations, sports clubs and sports brands.
All proceeds raised by the sale of the photographs will be donated to the Michael Stich Trust, which supports children with AIDS.
How much preparation time does a car film production require? Three, or at least two weeks. Bernd & Jeff managed to capture the force of the LAMBORGHINI Murcielago Super Verloces with 670PS in just five days at the Lufthansa soundproof air-house, with a 1000m2 area.
From 0 to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds, even at this location? There was only man for the job, Samuel Hubinette, THE stunt driver from “The Fast and the Furious“ films. And what else could possibly capture the action than the CamCruiser Pacer? The duo also managed to find suitable models to go with the sports types through Swen Meinecke’s athlete agency, Freistil.
Bernd & Jeff and DoP Fabian Hothan managed to capture the sheer force of the Murcielago on film without succumbing to the dangers involved, and after 19 hours of impressive steering wheel control, the car was returned to its garage with not so much as a scratch in sight. The commercial premiered at the Auto-Salon in Genf, and can now also be admired here at GoSee FILM and as a Podcast from the iTunes Store.
The latest BROADWAY fashion campaign can currently be spotted in 18/1 format all over Germany. The agency was Leagas Delaney HH with CD Oliver Grandt, AD: Christine Ruf and AB Silke Lauenstein. The post production was carried out by Deluxe Plus, who are also collaborating with office36 on the A/W 09 campaign productions in New York and Hamburg.
