Shotview : 'The Berlin Patient' Timothy Ray Brown in STERN, HIBISCARIN campaign, MUSEUM ALTONA 2011 support calendar, ZDF Aspekte with guest presenter Erwin WURM, editorials for PAPERPLANES and SLEEK plus Joachim BALDAUF's workshop in Berlin
In November 2008, doctors from the Berlin Charité reported a sensational success: they managed to eradicate the HI-Virus from one of their patients. This patient, whose fate gained worldwide attention and was dubbed 'The Berlin Patient' takes a step out of the shadows of anonymity in the newest Issue of STERN: his name is Timothy Ray Brown.
Peter RIGAUD was asked to produce the pictures for the ground-breaking coverage by the Hamburg-based magazine. He shot a vivid portrait series of a person affected by the tedious ups and downs of the agonising development of the virus.
Joachim BALDAUF photographed beauty motifs for a campaign commissioned by HIBISCARIN and several packaging shots for the exquisite cosmetic range. HIBISCARIN’s concept combines the interplay of dermatological care with a special blend of food supplements made from vitamins, minerals and hibiscus flower extract to provide rejuvenation.
The images, which couple Joachim's unique style with hibiscus close-ups are gorgeous!
The MUSEUM ALTONA in Hamburg is threatened with closure and therefore produced a 2011 support calendar. Joachim spared no expenses to make sure his contribution would stand up to the occasion. The calendar retails at 19.90EUR from the Altona Museum shop and can also be ordered via E-Mail.
Shotview is delighted to create a forum for young professionals, providing them with the opportunity to gain an insight of Joachim BALDAUF’s visual understanding and work ethic with a tutorial. The participants will have the opportunity, to discuss various points of view, correlate their abilities with other participants and established professionals and thus further develop their abilities.
The 3-day-workshop on 'how to create original images' will feature various presentations, discussions and panels involving Joachim BALDAUF, the participants, as well as other guests (including Kozva Rigaud, founder and CEO of Shotview Photographers) and guest lectures on trends, fashion photography, positioning and portfolio reviews.

ZDF art and culture magazine Aspekte is delighted to feature very special guest presenter Erwin WURM – whose trademark gentleman style didn't disappoint.
Until the end of November, the programme will not only feature contributions on Wurm's work and his career, but also a selection of submitted video works by the audience, which had been called upon to send in their own interpretations of Wurm's well-known 'one minute sculpture'.
Click on the following links for the show presented by Erwin Wurm, a portrait of the artist, as well as a piece on the video submissions for the competition.
JUNE Nakamoto added her signature super cool style to the PAPERPLANES editorial. She played a major part in facilitating the meeting between the eccentric-fantastic aesthetic by photographer Elina Kechicheva and the unique presence of model Lisa for the story in the last Back to Black issue.
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger: The proof is in the pudding. Markus PRITZI collaborated with fashion editor Isabelle Thiry on the latest issue of SLEEK.
