Markus PRITZI worked with stylist ISABELLE Thiry c/o BIGOUDI for UNFLOP PAPER and photographed PETER Bruder c/o VIVA MODELS for the first issue of this promising magazine. A varied story in the often monotonous studio atmosphere.
Ronald DICK produced a breath-taking fashion spread with stylist Santi Rodriguez for METAL MAGAZINE, which leaves the vast field of summer editorials behind it. The gorgeous Carrie Anne Burton in colour popping summer outfits caught our eye thanks to the strong contrasts of her styling and make-up, teamed with Ronald’s visual style.
Ronald shot a menswear spread for ARENA HOMME, which presents the must-have pieces from the CK menswear collection. Styling: John Colver.
The new issue of L’OFFICIEL HOMMES Germany presents a love story by Peter GEHRKE and fashion editor Marcus Zietz. The duo demonstrate how well they work together and their use of fashion, backgrounds and lots of attention to detail results in a perfectly orchestrated series.
Save the date! As previously reported, Daniel SANNWALD will be on show in the ‘Get in The Haze’ show from 19.5. – 5.9.2011 at Freiraum Quartier21, Vienna.
Freiraum 21 is the organisational heart of free initiatives in the digital culture, fashion and design disciplines, housed in a 60,000 m2 space in the centre of Vienna.
Plus there will also be an event for the launch of his new Pluto&Charon book project, published by Ludion Verlag. This will take place on the 20th of May 2011 at 6pm at the Walther König bookstore by Quartier21/MQ!
Daniel also contributed to the spring offering of L’OFFICIEL HOMMES Germany. He teamed up with three other incredibly creative characters to work on a Louis Vuitton special, which reveals the long established fashion house through Daniel’s photography with tattoo artist Scott Campbell, painter James Trimmer and LV-Menswear-Designer Lennie Pier Ramos.
Daniel SANNWALD and SUNDAY TIMES Fashion Director Lucy Ewing present a summery series in the STYLE supplement, which features the latest collection by Bottega Veneta.
The popular photographer also produced a spread for a premiere issue. He shot an elaborate story with stylist Joanna Schlenzka for the first ever issue of ANOTHER MAG KOREA. Inspired by the sirens’ song, the images present Asian models in a mystic dark atmosphere, dressed in ethereal fashion.
JUNE Nakamoto styled the MELINDA GLOSS look book. She collaborated with photographer Elina Kechicheva to create a harmonious mood between the fashion, model and location.
Henrique GENDRE has a whole host of impressive work ready for magazines and clients. Over the past few months, he didn’t just shoot various cover stories for VOGUE BRAZIL and SURFACE with great models such as Jessica Stam, Chantal Stafford-Abbott, Raquel Zimmermann and Freja Beha Erichsen, he also captured various beauties for commercial commissions for clients such as ANIMALE and SANTA LOLLA.
Peter RIGAUD had the pleasure of photographing Mavie Hörbiger of the traditional Hörbiger acting family, for the ‘I have a dream’ feature in ZEIT magazine. The new issue of BRAND EINS, dedicated to ‘respect’, published a series of his images, which he shot of a traditional undertaker business in Vienna.
To what extent can human identity be represented in an authentic and tangible way? Peter constantly reconsiders these questions in his sensitive style of portrait photography. Celebrities such as Dennis Hopper and Anna Netrebko have already posed for his camera, yet he manages to capture personalities rather than simply the person standing in front of him. This quality, this search for identity is reflected in the exhibition ‘Jude sein – Being Jewish. Vienna Jewish Identity Project’ at the Jüdischen Museum, Vienna, until the 19th of June 2011.
His portraits of the entire Burgtheater ensemble present a whole different set of personalities, including Birgit Minichmayr and Klaus Maria Brandauer. Peter RIGAUD has worked on this series for two years - Shotview is planning the book launch at the end of 2011.
Jim KRANTZ presents a moving photo book on the 25th anniversary of the atomic catastrophe in Tschernobyl. He spent over 15 years accompanying the victims of the reactor disaster and documented their fate on location or in their new living environments.
The photographer’s work unites art with commerce, flighty advertising and lasting art. The Marlboro Cowboy sees him provide a sustainable power to the visual power of advertising subjects and his visual language is established in the art and fashion worlds all over the world.
The new campaign for the 11 FESTIVAL FOR FASHION & PHOTOGRAPHY has seen Shotview Photographers Management once again merge art and fashion with great success. Erwin WURM designed sculptural fashion artwork, which embraces the body, providing new shapes and challenges. Elfie Semotan the Grande Dame of fashion photography supported the multi-talented artist. Actress and face of the campaign Nora von Waldstätten rounds off the creative collaboration perfectly.
The strong pictures were presented at the Völkerkundemuseum (folklore museum), so UNIT F managed to find a new ‘artistic’ partner in the art history museum after all. Form and content, as with the best of examples of fashion itself, has found new, surprising and convincing ways to unite.
Likewise, Shotview’s portfolio of selected photographers specialises in this exact symbiosis and synergy between commercial and art photography.
