SCREENings 2011 Jury : Katrin Hein, Art Buyer, Neverest - is looking forward to making discoveries at the SCREENings and UPdate 11

Katrin Hein is the art buyer at NEVEREST. She says the best part of her job is the opportunity to help turn campaign ideas into reality and deliver the perfect respective realisation. For inspiration, she happily looks into all sorts of portfolios.

Katrin was born in 1976 in Munster, initially studied drama studies and graduated with a MA at the LMU Munich in 2004. She also graduated with a diploma in video journalism at the Bavarian Academy for Film and Television.

Following several jobs with the BR (Television and Radio) as well as working for the production of daily soap Marienhof / Bavaria Film studios (Unit Manager and directing), she became the art buyer at Serviceplan/Holding in 2005.

Since 2007, she has been supervising the art buying at NEVEREST and tends to the needs of clients such as BMW, Rolf Benz, teamBank, KfW, AkzentInvest or Cortal Consors.

“A good style portfolio can fascinate me as much as an elaborate transportation portfolio, that utilises works with many compositions” says Katrin.

She continues: “Primarily, I am excited about the unseen, new perspectives from photography disciplines, but also the aesthetics within the picture itself. Whenever I manage to win over the perfect photographer for a great project and realise it with his or her help, it becomes the greatest experience of my working day.”
