Mirage Magazine : 'New Works' in editorial and corporate design, next issue coming up in October 2011

Frank Rocholl, co-founder and creative director of Mirage Magazine published ‘New Works’ in editorial and corporate design, a few previews are available here on GoSee.

“The feedback for the two Mirage Magazines was enormous and the aftermath were interesting projects such as magazine redesigns Ramp or Gapz”, Frank explains.

Frank, who already worked as a creative director for projects at Jil Sander, Hugo Boss, Smart and Levis pursues his passion for narrative design in the editorial department.

“Magazines make it possible to give every story an unique design flavour, tell individual stories. That is what makes the process so different from the traditional corporate identity, which usually adheres to a rigorous and modular design system”, Frank states frankly.

What’s the goal? “At the moment, we are talking a lot about brand cooperations. Such as ‘Puma by Mirage’ or ‘Lamborghini by Mirage’, meaning that we would be looking into creating our own interpretation of the partner’s respective brand identity.”

That could be a magazine or an advertising platform, maybe an exhibition even. Just like the artist cooperations between Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton. The benefit for the brand is pretty obvious: “An image infusion provided by trendy young photographers and image makers.”

The new Mirage Magazine will be released in late October 2011. For now, GoSee presents a teaser to keep you wanting for more.
