Neon, Skin and Live on Stage - the ETAM S/S 2011 lingerie show in Paris, with Kate Moss, Beth Ditto, Boy George... and many, many more!

Lingerie is always romantic. Wrong. In times where films like Tron are being done all over again, the world of lingerie also ventures out into neon realms. The Etam lingerie S/S 2011 show in Paris featured flashy colours, sheers & lace and delivered musical delicacies:

Beth Ditto, Karen Elson, Boy George, Jamie Hince of The Kills – to name but a few. The audience was absolutely star-studded with guests including by Kate Moss (among others). What more could you want?!

Even more celebrities. A small tryst: Charlotte Casiraghi from Monaco next to Kate and Stefano Pilati. Current Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci and photographer Mario Testino sat beside top model Natalia Vodianova, who could finally see her ‘Collection Natalia pour Etam’ on the catwalk. Jefferson Hack, Dazed & Confused founder and father to Kate Moss‘ daughter, Eva Herzigova, Andrew Wyatt, Joey Starr, Alison Mosshart and so on, and so on.

One might be inclined to think that with all the show and concerts and lights, there was not enough time for the fashion to go round. On the other hand, lingerie can never be too short really and whenever one of the graceful beings in scarce ribbons and straps floated over the catwalk, they could be sure of the room's undivided attention.

Yet, things still took a turn for romance, when Karolina Kurkova made her way to the stage with a baby lamb on her arm. The model's outfit was appropriately innocent if not slightly alienating considering the neon coloured light spectacle. But who is counting the peas in a pod? Being vegetarian is what counts.
